Abstract

Social loafing behavior refers to the reduction of individual effort when working on collective tasks compared to working alone. Social loafing is a detrimental phenomenon for organizations as it can decrease performance in task execution and hinder organizational well-being. This study aims to develop a product in the form of a guide for the treasure hunt technique based on the noble values of the gugur gunung tradition to reduce students’ social loafing. The population in this study consisted of Grade XI Office Administration students at SMKN 5 Madiun, with a number of representative classes selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through product feasibility validation tests and product effectiveness tests. The researcher used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to analyze the data. The results of the development study in the feasibility validation test obtained a score of 85.16%, which is categorized as very valid, highly effective, highly complete, can be used without revision, and is suitable for data collection. The results of the effectiveness test using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.018, which is less than 0.05. Based on this value, it can be concluded that the treasure hunt technique based on the noble values of the gugur gunung tradition can reduce social loafing behavior among Grade XI Office Administration students at SMKN 5 Madiun. This indicates that the developed product is categorized as highly feasible and effective for use.
