Abstract
Key Terms: Entrepreneurship, Life Skills This study aims to examine the entrepreneurship practices carried out by the students (santri) at Al Mardliyyah Islamic Boarding School in Madiun City as part of life skills development. The specific objectives of this research include: (1) identifying the entrepreneurship practices that have been implemented; (2) identifying the challenges faced in the implementation of the program; (3) analyzing the factors that influence the success of the entrepreneurship program; (4) exploring the benefits and objectives of life skills development for the students; (5) identifying the categories of life skills that are most beneficial in daily life; and (6) identifying the entrepreneurial characteristics that have been successfully developed through the program. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, utilizing interviews with several student- run business units, including: Al Mardliyyah Mart, Al Mardliyyah Bouquet, Al Mardliyyah Agro, Al Mardliyyah Tailor, Al Mardliyyah Laundry, Tilapia Fish Farming, Poultry Farming, and the Student Canteen. The results indicate that the students are actively engaged in various types of businesses that provide them with hands-on entrepreneurial experience. The main challenges encountered include time constraints, financial management, and lack of experience. The success of the program is influenced by the support of the boarding school, guidance from mentors, and the students' internal motivation. The development of life skills has proven to bring significant benefits, such as increased independence, responsibility, and communication skills. The most beneficial life skill categories are social skills, critical thinking, and managerial skills. The entrepreneurial traits most successfully developed are discipline, resilience, creativity, and responsibility. This study concludes that the entrepreneurship practices at Al Mardliyyah Islamic Boarding School play a significant role in shaping the students' life skills and character as essential foundations for living independently in the future.
