Abstract
Supangat. 2024. The Improvement of Students’ Writing Exposition Text Using Team Assisted Individualization Method at SMKN 1 Karanganyar Kabupaten Ngawi Class X TKJ 2 in Academic Year of 2023/2024. THESIS. Madiun: Study Program Magister Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Fakultas Pascasarjana, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor (I) Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, S.S., M.Pd. (II) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S, M.Pd. Keywods : Skill of writing exposition text, Team Assisted Individualization The skill of writing exposition text is a skill that students class X should master. However, at SMKN 1 Karanganyar Kabupaten Ngawi the students writing skill was still low. Accordingly, this study aims at (1) improving the learning-process quality in writing exposition text; and (2)improving skill of writing exposition text using Team Assisted Individualization method for students of SMKN 1 Karanganyar class X TKJ 2. This is a classroom action research. The subject to the study was students class X TKJ 2 and a Bahasa Indonesia teacher. The sources of the study are the observation from learning process, information and documentation. Observation, test, depth interview, and document analysis were the techniques employed in collecting the data. The study was begun from survey, cycle I to cycle III. Every cycle consists off our tages : (1) planning; (2) action; (3) observation; and (4) analysis adn reflection. From the findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of Team Assisted Individualization can improve the students learning process quality in writing exposition text as well as the students skill of writing exposition text at SMKN 1 Karanganyar Kabupaten Ngawi class X TKJ 2 in the academic year 2023/2024. The improvement of the quality of learning process was signified from both students and teacher’s performances. The improvement of students skill in writing exposition text signified from the number who passed the minimums score. In Pracycle 16,67%, in cycle I, the students passing the score 33,33%. In cycle II, it improved to 66,67%. In cycle III, it became 86,67% of them passed the minimum score.
