Abstract

Computational Thinking-based learning media to improve the numeracy skills of junior high school students is still said to be very lacking. This study aims to develop E-Comic learning media based on Computational Thinking (CT) to improve the numeracy skills of seventh grade students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. This study applies the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Madiun, namely class VII H for limited trials and class VII E for field trials. Based on the results of the study, the E-Comic media received validation from media experts with an average percentage of 90%, which indicates that the media is included in the very valid category. The practicality of this media is considered very practical with an achievement of 86.42%. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed using the N-Gain score which showed a result of 77.20% included in the high category. It was concluded that this Computational Thinking-based E-Comic is valid, practical, and effective in mathematics learning. Recommendations for further research are to develop this E-Comic media with a wider scope of material. Keywords: E-Comic, Numeracy Skills, Development.
