Abstract
ABSTRACT Maulana Firmansyah 2025, The Impact of Money Politics on the Cost of Winning the Regional Election in Mojoagung Village, Karangrayung District, Grobogan Regency 2025. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Thesis, FKIP, PGRI Madiun University Supervisor (I) Dra.Nuswantari,M.H. (II) Wawan Kokotiasa,S.IP.,M.Si. This study examines the impact of money politics on campaign costs in the 2024 Regional Head Election in Mojoagung Village, Karangrayung District, Grobogan Regency. Money politics, although illegal, remains a dominant strategy used by candidates to win the competition. This study aims to analyze how the practice of money politics affects campaign costs and the integrity of the regional head elections. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that money politics significantly increases campaign costs for candidates and undermines the integrity of the democratic process, leading to a decline in public trust in elected candidates. Increased oversight, stricter law enforcement, and political education for the public are recommended to reduce the practice of money politics. Keywords: Money Politics, Election Winning Costs.
