Abstract

The lack of enthusiasm among students in understanding the material on the respiratory and digestive systems in humans, especially at the elementary school level, is one of the obstacles in achieving science learning objectives. This study aims to develop a gamification-based learning medium that can be used through Android devices, with the hope that this medium can create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere and encourage active student involvement. The application development process employs the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) approach, which encompasses six core stages: concept formulation, design planning, material collection, production phase, testing process, and application distribution. In designing this media, the Construct 3 platform was utilized, which is known for its effectiveness in creating HTML5-based applications graphically without the need for direct coding. The final result of this development is an educational application themed around the human organ system, which combines learning and gaming elements through interactive quizzes, animations, and minigames designed to support a more enjoyable understanding of the material. Based on the testing results, this application is deemed to have a positive impact on student engagement and learning motivation. Based on the results obtained, this media has the potential to become an alternative solution in supporting science education, particularly in conceptual material that is difficult for students to understand. The gamification-based approach has proven effective in creating a more engaging and interactive learning environment tailored to the needs of today's digital generation.
