Abstract
Lestari, (2005) Honesty and Cooperation Character Development Through the Traditional Game Cublak-Cublak Suweng for Kindergarten B Students at TK Rejosari, Sawahan District, Madiun Regency Master’s Program in Social Science Education Postgraduate Program, PGRI University of Madiun Supervisors (1) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif., (2) Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd. Keywords: Honesty character, cooperation character, traditional games, Cublak-Cublak Suweng, early childhood. This study aims to improve children's character of honesty and cooperation through the traditional game Cublak-Cublak Suweng among group B students at TK Rejosari, Sawahan District, Madiun Regency. Traditional games were chosen as a learning medium because they are not only fun and easy to implement but also rich in cultural values and local wisdom that are essential for early childhood character development. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, involving 20 children as research subjects. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The results showed an improvement in the character of honesty and cooperation after the children actively participated in the Cublak-Cublak Suweng game. There was a consistent increase in honesty and cooperation scores from the pre-action phase to each cycle. Therefore, the traditional game Cublak-Cublak Suweng is effectively used as a learning method to foster character values in early childhood, especially honesty and cooperation.
