Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with STEAM on students’ learning outcomes in the IPAS subject of fifth-grade students at SDN Sembowo II. The background of this research arises from the problem of low learning outcomes and the lack of active student engagement in the science learning process, which is still dominated by conventional methods. The research subjects consisted of two groups: the experimental class, which was given Project Based Learning integrated with STEAM, and the control class, which used the Inquiry Learning model assisted by student textbooks. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test designed to measure learning outcomes at cognitive levels C4 and C5. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (85.83) was higher than that of the control class (72.08). Normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, and the t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who used the Project Based Learning model integrated with STEAM and those who did not. Thus, the results of this study indicate that the implementation of the PjBL model integrated with STEAM has a positive and significant effect on improving IPAS learning outcomes and can create active, creative, and enjoyable learning.
