Abstract

In the digital era, the use of information technology plays a crucial role in supporting operational smoothness, including sales transaction activities in the trade sector. This study aims to design and build a Point Of Sale (POS) based on a Progressive Web App (PWA) (Ridho Store Case Study) as an effort to solve problems in manual transaction systems that tend to be slow and risky of data errors. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method was used in the system development process due to its flexibility and speed in producing prototypes that meet user needs. The development stages include needs analysis, interface design, implementation, and system testing. The result of this study is a POS application based on a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can automatically record sales transactions, summarize data efficiently, and produce good financial reports. This Point Of Sale (POS) system can facilitate the transaction process between buyers and sellers, and help shop owners in monitoring operational activities comprehensively. The results of system testing with blackbox testing indicate that all features function properly without any errors.
