Abstract
Abstrak Oktavian Bagas Batistuta. 2025. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media PASTAR Terhadap Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa Kelas IV SDN Kledung III. Skripsi. Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Pembimbing (I) Octariana Hidayatus Sholikhah, S.Pd., M.Pd. (II) Dr. Lingga Nico Pradana, M.Pd. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Kognitif, Model Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media PASTAR terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas IV SDN Kledung III pada materi pengukuran luas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media PASTAR terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa capaian kemampuan kognitif siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning efektif dalam membantu siswa meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir, ketelitian, serta pemahaman konsep matematika secara lebih mendalam. Selain itu, keterlibatan siswa dalam proses menemukan konsep secara mandiri juga berdampak pada peningkatan kemampuan kognitif yang lebih optimal. Abstract Oktavian Bagas Batistuta. 2025. This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by PASTAR media on the cognitive ability of fourth-grade students at SDN Kledung III in the topic of area measurement. This research is a quantitative study. The stages of the research included data collection, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The data collection technique used was the pretest and posttest method. Based on the results, the study shows that there is a significant effect of using the Discovery Learning model assisted by PASTAR media on students’ cognitive abilities. The analysis results indicate that the cognitive ability achievements of students who were taught using the Discovery Learning model were higher than those taught using conventional methods. These findings demonstrate that the Discovery Learning model is effective in helping students enhance their thinking skills, accuracy, and deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. Furthermore, student involvement in the process of independently discovering concepts also contributes to a more optimal improvement in cognitive abilities.
