Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial performance and institutional ownership on dividend policy, with debt policy serving as a moderating variable, in industrial goods companies during the 2021–2025 period. The study employs a quantitative approach and a causal research design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 55 observations. Data analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results indicate that financial performance has a positive and significant effect on dividend policy. Conversely, institutional ownership does not have a significant effect on dividend policy. Furthermore, debt policy does not moderate the relationship between financial performance and dividend policy, nor does it moderate the relationship between institutional ownership and dividend policy. Thus, debt policy does not function as a moderating variable in this research model.
