ABSTRACT Tri Cholifatu Rosidah. 2026. Improving Pantun Writing Skills Through Meaningful Learning Methods Using Word Cards for Class IV Students at SD Negeri Brangkal 2, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency. Theses. Keywords: writing, rhymes, meaningful learning, and word cards This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of learning to write pantun through meaningful learning methods with word card media for fourth-grade students of Brangkal 2 State Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency and (2) student learning outcomes in learning to write pantun through meaningful learning methods with word card media for fourth-grade students of Brangkal 2 State Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study are (1) The application of meaningful learning methods with word card media was carried out well, this is known from the observation scores of activities carried out by teachers and students from cycle I to cycle II which increased. For teacher activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 75 (moderate) and increased in cycle II to 90 (high) and student activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 70 (moderate) and increased in cycle II, namely 87.5 (high), and (2) Learning outcomes in learning to write pantun through meaningful learning methods with word card media for fourth grade students of Brangkal 2 Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency, increased after applying meaningful learning methods with word card media, which was indicated by the percentage of learning completion in each cycle. The percentage of student completion in cycle I was 50% (low) and increased significantly to 79.17% (very high) in cycle II. The average class value in cycle I was 71.67 (moderate) and increased to 76.25 (high) in cycle II.
