Kata kunci: menulis,narasi, mastery teaching, dan media gambar Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan (1) penerapan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Pupus 3 Kecamatan Lembeyan Kabupaten Magetan, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Pupus 3 Kecamatan Lembeyan Kabupaten Magetan dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi menggunakan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terjadi peningkatan keterampilan menulis paragraf narasi dengan menggunakan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar pada siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Pupus 3 Kecamatan Lembeyan Kabupaten Magetan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan proses pembelajaran keterampilan menulis paragraf narasi dengan menggunakan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar, yaitu: (1) intensifnya proses internalisasi penumbuhan minat siswa menulis paragraf narasi, (2) kondusifnya proses diskusi untuk menentukan unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam paragraf narasi, (3) intensifnya proses siswa menulis paragraf narasi dengan menggunakan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar, (4) kondusif atau tidaknya kondisi siswa saat proses menyunting paragraf narasi, (5) terbangunnya suasana yang reflektif sehingga siswa bisa menyadari kekurangan saat proses pembelajaran dan mengetahui apa yang akan dilakukan setelah proses pembelajaran, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Pupus 3 Kecamatan Lembeyan Kabupaten Magetan dalam menulis paragraf narasi mengalami peningkatan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis paragraf narasi tampak pada hasil tes dan nontes. Hasil tes menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelas pada siklus I sebesar 67,27 dengan kategori cukup. pada siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa dalam menulis paragraf narasi meningkat menjadi 78,57 dengan kategori baik, seluruh siswa juga mencapai target penelitian 75. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa Kelas V dengan pembelajarn menulis paragraf narasi dengan model mastery teaching melalui media gambar berhasil. Keywords: writing, narrative, mastery teaching, and visual media This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the mastery teaching model through image media can improve learning to write narrative paragraphs for fifth grade students of Pupus 3 Public Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Pupus 3 Public Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency in learning to write narrative paragraphs using the mastery teaching model through image media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) there is an increase in narrative paragraph writing skills by using the mastery teaching model through image media for fifth grade students of Pupus 3 Public Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency. This is proven by the learning process of narrative paragraph writing skills using the mastery teaching model through image media, namely: (1) intensive internalization process of growing students' interest in writing narrative paragraphs, (2) conducive discussion process to determine the elements contained in narrative paragraphs, (3) intensive process of students writing narrative paragraphs using the mastery teaching model through image media, (4) conducive or not the condition of students during the process of editing narrative paragraphs, (5) the creation of a reflective atmosphere so that students can realize deficiencies during the learning process and know what to do after the learning process, and (2) the learning outcomes of Class V students of Pupus 3 Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency in writing narrative paragraphs have increased after participating in learning using the mastery teaching model through image media. The increase in narrative paragraph writing skills is seen in the test and non-test results. The test results show an average class score in cycle I of 67.27 with a sufficient category. In cycle II, the average score of students in writing narrative paragraphs increased to 78.57 with a good category, all students also achieved the research target of 75. This shows that there was an increase in the average score of Class V students with learning to write narrative paragraphs with the mastery teaching model through image media was successful.
