Abstract

The digitization of payment systems has encouraged MSME operators to adopt QRIS as an alternative for cashless transactions; however, the success of its implementation is still influenced by the level of digital financial literacy among business operators, resulting in variations in transaction efficiency and profit growth across MSMEs. This study aims to examine the effect of QRIS usage and digital financial literacy on transaction efficiency, as well as the combined effect of QRIS usage, digital financial literacy, and transaction efficiency on profit growth among MSMEs in Kartoharjo District, Madiun City. The study employed a quantitative approach with a population of 63 SMEs, and the sample was determined using total sampling, resulting in 63 respondents as the observational data. Data analysis utilized two multiple linear regression models with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results indicate that both the use of QRIS and digital financial literacy—whether considered individually or simultaneously—have a positive and significant effect on SME transaction efficiency. Digital financial literacy also has a positive and significant effect on increasing MSME profits, as does transaction efficiency, which has a positive and significant effect on profit growth. Furthermore, the simultaneous use of QRIS and digital financial literacy also has a positive and significant effect on increasing MSME profits, whereas the use of QRIS alone has a negative but insignificant effect on.
