Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, (I) Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd., (II) Dwi Rosita Sari, M.Pd.,Ph.D Keywords: writing, description, method, and suggestion of imagination This study aims to narrate and explain (1) the use of the imagination suggestion method can improve the descriptive writing skills of fifth-grade students of Wonosalam 4 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of Wonosalam 4 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency in learning to write descriptions using the imagination suggestion method. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study are (1) the use of the imagination suggestion method can improve the descriptive writing skills of fifth-grade students of Wonosalam 4 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency. This is evidenced by the data from the results of the study on student learning activities in cycle I and cycle II in participating in learning using the imagination suggestion learning method experienced an increase. (2) The learning outcomes of fifth grade students at Wonosalam 4 State Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency in learning to write descriptions using the imagination suggestion method show that the average percentage value of learning outcomes for descriptive writing skills in cycle I was 77.78% and in cycle II was 83.33% or an increase of 5.55%.
