ABSTRACT Ginong Pratidinanto. 2026. Implementation of the Outdoor Learning Method to Enhance Interest and Learning Outcomes in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) for Grade III Students at SDN Pare 4. Thesis. Master’s Program in Social Studies Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I): Dr. Ibadullah Malawi, M.Pd.; Supervisor (II): Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd. Keywords: outdoor learning, learning interest, learning outcomes, IPAS, Classroom Action Research.. This research was motivated by the low learning interest and IPAS learning outcomes of Grade III students at SDN Pare 4, resulting from teacher-centered instruction that limited student engagement in the learning process. This situation necessitated the implementation of an approach that is more contextual and participatory, offering direct learning experiences. The study aims to describe the implementation of the outdoor learning method and analyze the improvement in learning interest and IPAS learning outcomes among Grade III students at SDN Pare 4. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) project conducted over two cycles, comprising the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 24 Grade III students at SDN Pare 4. Data were collected through observation, learning interest questionnaires, learning outcome tests, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques by comparing results across the pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The research results indicate that the implementation of the outdoor learning method improved the quality of the learning process, learning activities, learning interest, and student learning outcomes in the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subject. Learning interest rose from 35.4% in the pre-cycle stage to 75.5% in Cycle I and 94.8% in Cycle II. Learning engagement increased from 45.8% in the pre-cycle stage to 78.3% in Cycle I and 94.2% in Cycle II. Learning outcomes also improved, evidenced by an increase in the average score from 64.2 in the pre-cycle stage to 78.5 in Cycle I and 90.2 in Cycle II. The percentage of classical learning mastery rose from 37.5% in the pre-cycle stage to 75.0% in Cycle I, reaching 95.8% in Cycle II. Thus, the classical mastery achieved in Cycle II surpassed the study's success indicator of 85%. This improvement demonstrates that utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource fosters learning that is more active, contextual, collaborative, and meaningful, thereby enabling third-grade students at SDN Pare 4 to more easily grasp IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) concepts. The study concludes that the outdoor learning method is effective in enhancing both learning interest and IPAS learning outcomes among third-grade students at SDN Pare 4. These findings reinforce the view that utilizing the environment as a learning resource is a relevant strategy for supporting the implementation of the *Kurikulum Merdeka* (Independent Curriculum) through learner-centered, contextual, and real-experience-based instruction
