Abstract
This study aims to describe and explain (1) the use of the poster comment method can improve the speaking skills of fifth-grade students of WONOMERTO 2 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of Wonomerto 2 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency in speaking learning using the poster comment method. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the use of the poster comment method can improve the speaking skills of fifth-grade students of Wonomerto 2 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency. This is evidenced by the students' speaking skills using the poster comment method increasing by showing a picture of a poster, in front of the board and observing the students then giving their opinions about the picture of the poster, the students come forward and give their opinions about the poster in front of the board, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of Wonomerto 2 Elementary School, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency in speaking learning using the poster comment method have increased. This is proven by the completion value of cycle I of 65.82 (45%) or 9 students who completed it and in cycle II it increased to 86 (95%) or 19 students who completed it.
