Abstract
This study employed a mixed-methods approach using a Concurrent Embedded Strategy design, with qualitative methods serving as the primary approach and quantitative methods as a supporting component. The research was conducted with students from the Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL) program at SMKN 1 Bendo Magetan who had completed their Field Work Practice (PKL). Qualitative data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, while quantitative data were obtained via Likert-scale questionnaires and industry-based assessments. Qualitative data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing; quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (percentages). The results indicate that students' collaboration skills fell into the "very good" category, with an average score of 98%; students demonstrated the ability to work effectively in teams and participate actively during the PKL program. Students' communication skills fell into the "good" category, with an average score of 96.83%; the majority of students were able to comprehend instructions, express their opinions, and engage in discussions with colleagues. The findings also reveal that the Field Work Practice experience positively contributed to student readiness. It is concluded that the collaboration and communication skills of SMKN 1 Bendo students following the Field Work Practice ranged from "good" to "very good," thereby supporting their readiness to enter the workforce. Consequently, it is essential to continue strengthening soft-skills-based learning and optimizing the implementation of Field Work Practice through sustained collaboration between the school and the industrial sector.
