Abstract

Gross motor skills need to be stimulated from an early age so that children can move optimally, one way being through an obstacle course program. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of an obstacle course program as a stimulation of gross motor skills in early childhood at KB Cendekia Kids School (CKS) and Rumah Belajar All Kids, Madiun City. The study used a qualitative survey approach. Data sources consisted of school principals, teachers, and program documents at both institutions. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, with technique triangulation. Data were analyzed uni-dimensionally, multi-dimensionally, and explanatively. The results show that planning at both institutions took into account equipment readiness, difficulty level, and safety; All Kids has a written SOP, while CKS faces scheduling constraints. Implementation is structured through a post/station system and is adaptive to children with special needs through separate sessions or individual assistance. Evaluation is carried out through direct observation supported by photo and video documentation. Keywords: obstacle course program, gross motor skills, early childhood, qualitative survey
