Abstract

Keywords: Jigsaw model, self-confidence, poetry appreciation, two-way ANOVA, elementary school. This research is motivated by the low poetry appreciation ability of students at public elementary schools in Gugus 2, Kecamatan Parang, Kabupaten Magetan, caused by less varied learning models and suboptimal empowerment of psychological aspects, particularly self-confidence. The objective is to examine the effect of the Jigsaw model, self-confidence (high vs low), and their interaction on poetry appreciation ability. This study employs a quantitative approach with a 2x2 factorial design. The subjects were fifth-grade students. Data were collected through poetry appreciation tests and self-confidence questionnaires, then analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The findings reveal that: (1) there is a significant difference in poetry appreciation ability between students taught with the Jigsaw model and those taught with conventional models, with Jigsaw being superior; (2) there is a significant difference between students with high and low self-confidence, with the high-confidence group achieving better results; and (3) there is a significant interaction between the learning model and self-confidence, indicating that Jigsaw's effectiveness is more pronounced among students with high self-confidence. This study concludes that the Jigsaw model and self-confidence significantly affect poetry appreciation, so teachers are advised to combine cooperative models with strengthening students' self-confidence. Kata kunci: model Jigsaw, percaya diri, apresiasi puisi, ANOVA dua jalur, sekolah dasar Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan apresiasi puisi siswa SD Negeri di Gugus 2 Kecamatan Parang, Kabupaten Magetan, yang disebabkan oleh model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dan belum optimalnya pemberdayaan aspek psikologis, khususnya percaya diri. Tujuan penelitian adalah menguji pengaruh model Jigsaw, percaya diri (tinggi vs rendah), serta interaksi keduanya terhadap kemampuan apresiasi puisi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif desain faktorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes apresiasi puisi dan angket percaya diri, dianalisis dengan ANOVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemampuan apresiasi puisi antara siswa yang mengikuti model Jigsaw dan model konvensional, dengan model Jigsaw lebih unggul; (2) terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara siswa dengan percaya diri tinggi dan rendah, kelompok percaya diri tinggi menunjukkan capaian lebih baik; dan (3) terdapat interaksi signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan percaya diri, yang berarti efektivitas Jigsaw lebih terasa pada siswa dengan percaya diri tinggi. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model Jigsaw dan percaya diri berpengaruh signifikan, sehingga guru disarankan memadukan model kooperatif dengan penguatan rasa percaya diri siswa.
