Improving Fairy Tale Listening Skills Using the Story Partner Method Assisted by Puppet Media for Grade II Students of SD Negeri Poncol 2, Poncol District, Magetan Regency. Thesis. Keywords: listening skills, fairy tale, story partner method, puppet media This research was motivated by the low quality of learning and fairy tale listening skills among grade II students at SD Negeri Poncol 2, which was caused by the use of monotonous learning methods and a lack of engaging visual media. This study aimed to describe and explain the implementation of the story partner method assisted by puppet media in an effort to improve the quality of learning and fairy tale listening skills of grade II students at SD Negeri Poncol 2, Poncol District, Magetan Regency. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles through four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 13 grade II students of SD Negeri Poncol 2. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the implementation of the story partner method assisted by puppet media was able to improve the quality of learning and students' fairy tale listening skills. This was proven by the teacher's activity score reaching 35 with a percentage of 87.5% (excellent category), and students' activity obtaining an average score of 24.38 with a percentage of 87.33% (excellent category). The increase in the average score of students' fairy tale listening skills occurred starting from the pre-cycle at 66.15 (39% classical completeness), rising in the first meeting of cycle I to 72.31 (54% completeness), and increasing in the second meeting of cycle I to 80.46 (69% completeness). Furthermore, it increased in the first meeting of cycle II to 86.92 (77% completeness), and reached 90.0 with a classical completeness of 92% in the second meeting of cycle II. These results have met the established success indicator of classical completeness $\ge 80\%$. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the story partner method assisted by puppet media is effective in improving the fairy tale listening skills of grade II students at SD Negeri Poncol 2, Magetan Regency.
