Abstract
This research is based on the view that language in news texts is not neutral but represents particular perspectives and interests. Therefore, discourse analysis is needed to reveal the structures and meanings constructed within news reporting. This study aims to describe the macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure of the news article entitled "Ironi Madiun: Skor Integritas Tertinggi tapi Walkot Dijerat KPK" based on Teun A. van Dijk’s discourse analysis model and to implement the findings in the form of recommended student worksheets (LKPD) for teaching news texts at SMA Negeri 1 Jiwan. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data validity was established through methodological triangulation by comparing data obtained from document analysis, interviews, and documentation. Data were collected through document analysis, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings indicate that the news text demonstrates an integrated macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure, which together construct the overall meaning of the news discourse. Based on the needs analysis conducted through teacher interviews and teaching module documentation, the discourse analysis findings were contextualized into learning materials covering accurate and up-to-date information through the 5W+1H (Adiksimba) framework, the inverted pyramid structure of news texts, and the distinction between facts and opinions. These materials were then implemented in the form of a recommended e-LKPD developed using Liveworksheets, with learning evaluation conducted through Gimkit. This study concludes that Teun A. van Dijk’s discourse analysis model can serve as a foundation for developing contextual, systematic, and interactive student worksheets that meet students’ learning needs in news text instruction at SMA Negeri 1 Jiwan.
