The Use of Role Play Method with Local Inspirational Story Theme to Improve Public Speaking Skills of Grade VI Students at SD Negeri Deling 1, Sekar District, Bojonegoro Regency. Thesis. Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA). Supervisor I: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, MM., M.Pd., Supervisor II: Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, M.Pd. Keywords: Role Play, Local Inspirational Stories, Public Speaking Skills. This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of the role play method with a local inspirational story theme in teaching public speaking to Grade VI students at SD Negeri Deling 1; (2) improve the public speaking skills of Grade VI students at SD Negeri Deling 1 through the use of the role play method with a local inspirational story theme. This research was conducted using a classroom action research design. The research stages were arranged from the pre-cycle stage, Cycle I, to Cycle II. The research subjects were Grade VI students selected based on certain considerations. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the implementation of the role play method with a local inspirational story theme for Grade VI students at SD Negeri Deling 1 demonstrated that public speaking learning could be conducted in a structured and interactive manner; (2) the findings show that the use of the role play method with a local inspirational story theme significantly improved the public speaking skills of Grade VI students.
