The Influence of Oral Communication Habits in Indonesian and Parental Guidance on the Phonological Competence in Indonesian of Fifth Grade Students at Public Elementary Schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk, Academic Year 2025/2026. Thesis. Madiun: Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate Faculty, Universitas PGRI Madiun.. Supervisors: (I) Dr. V Teguh Suharto, (II) Dr. Sigit Ricahyono, S.S. This research investigates: (1) the effect of oral communication habits in Indonesian on the phonological competence in Indonesian of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk; (2) the effect of parental guidance on the phonological competence in Indonesian of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk; and (3) the simultaneous effect of oral communication habits in Indonesian and parental guidance on the phonological competence in Indonesian of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk. The study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental method. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results of the data analysis indicate that: (1) oral communication habits in Indonesian have a significant effect on the phonological competence in Indonesian of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk; (2) parental guidance has a significant effect on the phonological competence in Indonesian of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk; and (3) there is a significant simultaneous effect of oral communication habits in Indonesian and parental guidance on the phonological competence in Indonesian of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Nganjuk. .
