Keywords: Writing, Reading, and Synthetic Structural Analysis This research aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the SAS (Synthetic Analytical Structural) method in the initial reading learning of class I students at SDN Paron 2 , Paron District, Ngawi Regency, 2) the application of the SAS (Synthetic Analytical Structural) method in the initial writing learning of class I students SDN Paron 2 , Paron District, Ngawi Regency, and 3) the obstacles and solutions faced by teachers in implementing the SAS (Synthetic Structural Analytical) method in learning to read and write beginning class I students at SDN Paron 2 , Paron District, Ngawi Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation.
