Abstract
ABSTRACT Rusilah. 2026. Improving Fine Motor Skills Through Beading Activities for 5- Year-Old Children at TK Plus Wahidiyah Ngawi. Undergraduate Thesis. Early Childhood Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor (I) Sofia Nur Afifah, M.Pd., (II) Dr. Alisa Alfinah, S.Pd., M.Pd. Fine motor development is one of the important aspects that plays a significant role in children's daily lives, such as writing, drawing, and manipulating small objects. Fine motor skills serve as a foundation for children to become more independent and to prepare them for further learning processes.Based on observations conducted at TK Plus Wahidiyah, Dadapan Village, Ngawi, in the learning process of fine motor development, many children were still not optimal in moving their fingers in a coordinated manner and controlling hand movements using fine muscles, such as picking up, grasping, pinching, squeezing, twisting, sorting, and feeling. Therefore, it is necessary to develop fine motor skills through beading activities. The type of research conducted was Classroom Action Research with two cycles. In the implementation of Cycle I, the percentage of learning mastery increased to 58%, with 7 children achieving mastery, while 5 children (42%) had not yet achieved mastery. In Cycle II, the data showed that 10 children (83%) had achieved learning mastery, while only 2 children (17%) had not yet achieved mastery. For the 2 children who had not yet achieved mastery, intensive guidance was provided to improve their fine motor development. Keywords: early childhood, fine motor skills, beading activities
