Supervisor I: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, MM., M.Pd., Supervisor II: Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, M.Pd. Keywords: Explanatory Texts, Discovery Learning, Mini Experiments. This study aims to: (1) describe the teaching process of explanatory texts using the discovery learning method based on mini experiments for Grade V students at SD Negeri Krondonan I, Gondang District, Bojonegoro Regency; (2) describe students’ responses to the implementation of discovery learning based on mini experiments in teaching explanatory texts at the same school; (3) describe students’ explanatory text writing skills after participating in learning using the discovery learning method based on mini experiments. The research method used was qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were Grade V students selected based on certain considerations. Data analysis employed in this study was interactive analysis. The results indicate that: (1) the teaching process of explanatory texts using the discovery learning method based on mini experiments for Grade V students at SD Negeri Krondonan I was conducted systematically and in a structured manner according to the designed learning stages; (2) students’ responses to the implementation of the discovery learning method based on mini experiments in teaching explanatory texts showed a positive tendency; (3) students’ explanatory text writing skills significantly improved after participating in learning using the discovery learning method based on mini experiments
