Madiun: Master of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd., Co- Advisors Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd. Keywords: Merdeka Curriculum, Indonesian Language, Teacher Problems, Elementary School, Teacher Strategies. This study aims to describe the problems faced by Elementary School teachers and the efforts made in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian Language subjects. The background of this research is based on the gap between the demands of curriculum change and the reality of teachers' technical readiness in the field, specifically in the aspects of planning, implementation, and learning assessment. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative research type. The research was conducted in Cluster (Gugus) Four, Ngraho District, Bojonegoro Regency, with 60 teachers as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through interview, observation, and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis used the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate two main findings. First, the problems faced by teachers include: (1) Planning Aspect: Teachers struggle to translate Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran/CP) into concrete Learning Goal Flows (Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran/ATP), resulting in a tendency to copy Teaching Modules (Modul Ajar) from the internet without contextualization. (2) Implementation Aspect: Differentiated learning is difficult to apply in large classes because it requires double preparation, and teaching methods are still dominated by conventional ways. (3) Assessment Aspect: Diagnostic assessment is often neglected due to time constraints and complexity in the learning result reporting system. Second, the efforts made by teachers to overcome these obstacles rely more on collaborative strategies and digital literacy compared to external training. The most dominant effort is conducting intensive discussions with colleagues through school Teacher Working Group forums (KKG/MGMP) to compile teaching tools, as well as utilizing the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) and YouTube as sources for independent learning. This study concludes that the main obstacle to implementation is not conceptual understanding, but rather technical-practical ability, so teachers respond by maximizing the support of internal learning communities.
