Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial management pattern and strategies of Generation Z students who work part-time as Live Hosts on an e-commerce platform. The method used is a qualitative approach with an interpretive approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of five informants at Studio X, Madiun. The result of the study indicate that Live Host students tend to have fluctuating incomes, requiring adaptive strategies in managing them. The majority of informants prioritize basic needs and savings, and limit free rewards to avoid consumptive behavior. Financial literacy is obtained through direct experience and digital content, fostering awareness of the importance of emergency funds and wise management of paylater. In conclusion, students are able to balance short-term needs and long-term financial goals through flexible financial management based on digital awareness.
