Keywords: writing, description, method, and copy the master This research aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the Copy the Master method to improve the description writing skills of class IV students at SDN 1 Demangan, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency and (2) the learning behavior of class IV students at SDN 1 Demangan, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency when learning to write descriptions using the copy the master method. This research is classroom action research with three research cycles. The results of this research are (1) the descriptive writing skills of class IV students at SDN 1 Demangan, Siman subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency, have improved after using the copy the master method. This increase can be seen from the results of the descriptive writing skills test for cycle I, cycle II and cycle III which experienced an increase. The results of the average student score in cycle I were in the range of 5, in cycle II the results of the average score of students were in the range of 6, and in cycle III the average score of students was in the range of 7. The difference in the average score between cycles I and II was 5.52, while the difference in the average score between cycle II and cycle II was 9.80, and (2) The learning behavior of class IV students at SDN 1 Demangan, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency, when learning to write descriptions using the copy the master method, experienced a change in behavior. positive things from cycle I to cycle III. In cycle III, students' enthusiasm for learning was very good, students were active and very enthusiastic in carrying out the tasks given by the research teacher, the situation and conditions of students during learning were conducive, and students had the courage to ask or comment about the learning being carried out.
