Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of outdoor learning techniques in teaching nature poetry writing and to identify challenges and solutions faced by fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sugihwaras 2, Bojonegoro Regency, during the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of students’ works. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that outdoor learning techniques are effective in improving students’ nature poetry writing skills. Students became more motivated, active, and creative because they could directly utilize the school environment as a source of inspiration. Challenges encountered included unpredictable weather conditions, limited facilities, and students’ easily distracted attention. Solutions implemented included adjusting the activity schedule, effective classroom management, and additional guidance from the teacher. It can be concluded that outdoor learning techniques enhance students’ nature poetry writing skills while fostering creativity, imagination, and experiential learning. This study provides implications for teachers and schools to utilize the surrounding environment as an effective learning medium.
