Abstract

This research is based on the author's desire to find out the analysis of the novel Kite Putus by Mommy ASF based on the image of women and feminist studies. The aim of this research is to find the image of women in an analytical review of literary works through feminist literary criticism in the Novel Kite Putus by Mommy ASF. This research is qualitative in nature, namely the author is faced with a document of the novel Kite Putus by Mommy ASF which will examine the image of women along with a study of feminist literary criticism. This research is to find out what the image of women is in the novel Kite Putus and what the aspects of feminism are. This research was conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner. Data collection was carried out using library techniques and note-reading techniques. The findings of this study demonstrate that (a) the physical portrayal of Kinan’s image is depicted as a young and mature woman; (b) her psychological image is presented as a strong, resilient, independent, and optimistic individual; and (c) her social image highlights her role as a single parent within the family, while remaining an active and responsible member of society. Regarding the feminist analysis in the novel Layangan Putus, the socio-cultural aspect reveals that women are not perpetually destined to be "second-class citizens," as they can stand on equal footing with men through perseverance. From an economic perspective, feminism shows that women are capable of pursuing careers in the public sector and successfully managing dual roles as both homemakers and career women. In terms of religion, the study indicates that gender poses no barrier to spiritual devotion, as success is viewed as the fruit of one's continuous worship and effort. Finally, the educational aspect challenges the stigma that women do not require higher education because they will eventually become housewives; instead, the protagonist proves that women must attain higher education to survive domestic challenges and secure a bright future comparable to that of men.
