Implementation of Indonesian Language Learning Based on the Life Stories of Local Figures for First Grade Students at SD Negeri 2 Surodakan, Trenggalek District, Trenggalek Regency. Thesis. Master's Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Graduate School, PGRI University Madiun (UNIPMA). Supervisor I: Prof. Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., Supervisor II: Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, SS, M.Pd. Keywords: Indonesian Language, Life Stories, Local Figures, Elementary School This study aims to 1). Describe and explain the implementation of Indonesian language learning based on the life stories of local figures among first-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Surodakan; 2). Describe and explain the impact of learning based on the life stories of local figures on the motivation and learning outcomes 27 of first-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Surodakan; 3). Describe and explain the obstacles encountered in the implementation of this learning and how to overcome them. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design. The research subjects included first-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Surodakan, Trenggalek District, Trenggalek Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and assessment of student learning outcomes. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that 1). The implementation of Indonesian language learning based on the life stories of local figures in grade I of SD Negeri 2 Surodakan shows that teachers effectively apply storytelling strategies, the use of visual media, and group activities; 2). The impact of learning based on the life stories of local figures on student motivation and learning outcomes is significant; 3). Obstacles in the implementation of learning include differences in students' writing abilities, limited reference sources, and difficulties in developing story ideas.
