ABSTRACT Tyas Arie Wibowo. The Role of Local Wisdom in Teaching Pancasila Values to Elementary School Students. thesis. Madiun:Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Dasar. Sekolah Pascasarjana, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Pembimbing (I) Prof. Dr. Parji, M.Pd. (II) Dr. Ibadullah Malawi, M.Pd. This study aims to determine the role of local wisdom in instilling Pancasila values from an early age, which is an important foundation in shaping the character of the nation's next generation. In the context of elementary education, local wisdom has great potential as a contextual and meaningful learning medium. This study aims to explore and analyze the role of local wisdom in teaching Pancasila values to elementary school students. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study at an elementary school in an area that still strongly upholds local traditions. Data were obtained through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of local culture-based learning activities. The results show that integrating local wisdom into the learning process can strengthen students' understanding of Pancasila values, such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, patriotism, and social justice. Furthermore, this approach increases active student participation and strengthens the relationship between the school and the community. The conclusion of this study is that local wisdom can be an effective tool for Pancasila-based character education in elementary schools.
