Dani Asasi. 2025. Implementation of Local Wisdom Integration of Ponorogo in Indonesian Language Learning in Grade IV at SDN 1 Nambangrejo, Sukorejo Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. Thesis, Master of Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Postgraduate School, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor 1 Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, SS, M.Pd., Supervisor 2 Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, SS, M.Pd This study aims to describe the implementation process of integrating Ponorogo's local wisdom into Indonesian language learning in Grade IV at SDN 1 Nambangrejo, Sukorejo Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. In addition, this research seeks to identify the relevant forms of local wisdom and to explain the impact of its use on the students’ cultural identity. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources include teachers, students, and instructional documents. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Ponorogo’s local wisdom such as Reog (traditional dance), folk tales, Grebeg Suro cultural traditions, and local culinary heritage can be effectively integrated into Indonesian language learning through reading materials and literacy activities. The integration is applied in narrative, descriptive, and explanatory texts, making learning more meaningful and contextual. Moreover, the use of local wisdom has a positive impact on students’ cultural identity, increases their pride in their local culture, strengthens character education, and improves student engagement and motivation.
