Improving Descriptive Text Writing Skills Through the Inquiry Method and Nature-Themed Picture Media for Sixth-Grade Students of SDN 3 Gelanglor, Sukorejo District, Ponorogo Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025. Thesis, Master of Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor: Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, SS, M.Pd., Supervisor: Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, SS, M.Pd. This study aims to determine the improvement in descriptive text writing skills in sixth-grade students of SDN 3 Gelanglor, Sukorejo District, Ponorogo Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025 through the inquiry method and picture media. This study is a Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were 31 sixth-grade students of SDN 3 Gelanglor, Sukorejo District, Ponorogo Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques used observation, testing, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using a quantitative approach. The results showed that the average descriptive writing ability of students in the pre-cycle was 69.4, with a completion rate of 45% (low); this increased in cycle I to an average of 73.3, with a completion rate of 61% (sufficient). In cycle II, students' descriptive writing ability reached an average of 78.2 (high) with a completion rate of 81%. Student activity data in cycle I reached 35.5% and increased again in cycle II to 42% (active). This indicates an increase in student learning activity in each cycle. Meanwhile, teacher activity data showed an average of 59.9%, increasing to 78.6% (high). From these results, it can be concluded that the inquiry method and image media can improve descriptive writing skills in sixth-grade students at SDN 3 Gelanglor, Sukorejo District, Ponorogo Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year.
