Abstract
This research aims to describe and explain (1) the use of series image media can improve narrative writing skills in class IV students at SDN 1 Krebet, Jambon District, Ponorogo Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN 1 Krebet, Jambon District, Ponorogo Regency in learning to write narratives using series of picture media. The results of this research are (1) there is an increase in student learning activities assessed through observing student learning activities in groups and classical student learning activities. The percentage of student learning activities in cycle I reached 79.85% with an average score of 3.194. The percentage of student learning activities increased in cycle II, reaching 83.33% with an average score of 3.33. The teacher's performance value in the first cycle of learning reached 87.21 and was included in the A value category. The teacher's performance value increased in the second cycle to 93.08 which was also included in the A value category, and (2) student learning results showed the percentage of classical learning completeness in cycle I was 72.2% with an average class score of 73.6. This value increased in cycle II. The percentage of classical learning completeness in cycle II reached 100% or all 36 students completed learning. The average value has increased to 77.72.
