Abstract Rusiani. 2025. Improving Writing Skills through Collage Media in Fourth-Grade Students at SDN Tambakmas 03, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025. Thesis. Master Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate School, PGRI University of Madiun. Supervisors: (1) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd.; (2) Dr. Agung Nasrulloh Saputro, M.Pd. Keywords: writing, learning media, collage This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of collage media to improve writing skills in fourth-grade students at SDN Tambakmas 03, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency, and (2) the increase in student activity in writing lessons using collage media. This is a classroom action research study with two cycles. The results show that (1) the application of collage media improves writing skills in fourth-grade students, as evidenced by the average score of 82 in the second cycle, exceeding the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), and (2) student activity increases after using collage media. Student responses to writing lessons using collage media are positive, making learning more engaging and enjoyable. Observations of student activity during the learning process show improvement across five aspects: persistence in making collages, neatness, activeness in asking questions, relevance of essay content to collage images, and bravery in presenting their work ¹.
