Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a content-based filtering recommendation system for tourist destinations that can provide travel suggestions according to user preferences in the Madiun area. The methods used in this system are TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) and Cosine Similarity to measure the similarity between user interests and the descriptions of available tourist destinations. This system is built as a web-based application designed to be easily accessible by both general users and administrators. The research results show that the developed recommendation system is capable of presenting relevant travel recommendations that align with user preferences. Testing using the black box method proves that all features function as intended and have met the system development goals. Therefore, this system can be an effective solution in helping users find suitable tourist destinations in the Madiun region.
