Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Educational Play Tools (APE) at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 7 Kindergarten, Madiun City. The focus of the research is to examine how the management of APE is implemented as a supporting facility for early childhood learning. This research employed a qualitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through documentation, interviews, and observations. To ensure data validity, triangulation was applied by cross-checking the results from different instruments comprehensively. The purpose of this study is to describe the management of APE at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 7 Kindergarten, which includes procurement, utilization, storage and maintenance, as well as evaluation of APE based on the management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that APE procurement is carried out through collective planning between the principal and teachers, involving teachers’ creativity and the use of local resources. The utilization of APE is adjusted to learning themes and child development indicators, actively implemented by both teachers and children, although written SOP are only available for procurement. The storage and maintenance of APE are conducted regularly by center teachers, assisted by children, although no written schedule or evaluation format is available. The evaluation of APE is carried out informally through discussions and learning evaluations, but lacks standardized administrative documentation.
