Abstract

Improving Roof Tile Quality Using Simulation to Increase Sales with Strategy Analysis in Home Industry Roof Tiles in Winong Village, Maospati District, Magetan Regency. Thesis. Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Ir. Yudha Adi Kusuma, ST., MT (II) Halwa Annisa Khoiri, S.Si., M.Si This study aims to improve the quality of roof tiles to increase sales in the MSME home industry roof tiles in Winong Village by using a dynamic system simulation approach synergized with SOAR analysis. The roof tile production process is analyzed through five main stages, namely: mixing raw materials, printing, drying, firing, and cooling. The simulation results show that in the mixing process, the optimal composition is 40 m³ of clay, 8 m³ of sand, 2 m³ of water, with 10 workers for 8 hours, capable of producing 400 batches of dough or the equivalent of 8,000 roof tiles per day, which supports the improvement of quality and quantity of production. Next, SOAR analysis is conducted to develop a management strategy. The results of the strategic management from QSPM produce 3 strategies for each parameter, namely drying operators, cooling and cooling time. This study concludes that the combination of dynamic system simulation and SOAR analysis in determining strategic management provides realistic and applicable results for the development of MSME roof tile production. This approach can be used as a basis for making sustainable and data-based production policies
