Abstract
Discipline is an important aspect in shaping students' character and supporting their learning success at school. Social support from peers can provide a sense of acceptance, encouragement, and social reinforcement, while self-control allows students to control their behavior to conform to prevailing norms. This study aims to determine the effect of social support from peers and self- control on the discipline of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Nglames .This study used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. The research sample consisted of 100 students randomly selected from the eighth-grade student population. The data collection instruments were a social support scale, a selfcontrol scale, and a discipline scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the data analysis showed that partially and simultaneously, peer social support had a significant value of 0.049 and selfcontrol had a significant value of 0.036, and both variables had a positive and significant effect on student discipline. This proves that the higher the social support and self-control ability of students, the higher the level of discipline they have. These findings are expected to provide input for schools and parents to pay more attention to the social environment and strengthening students' character
