Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis aplikasi Augmented Reality (AR) pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar guna meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat dan pencapaian belajar matematika peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Madiun yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang masih monoton dan kurang inovatif, terlihat dari hasil UTS dan UAS yang berada di bawah KKM. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahapan Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket kepada guru dan peserta didik, validasi dari para ahli, serta dokumen pendukung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Madiun dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa media berbasis AR yang dikembangkan menggunakan Unity 3D memiliki tingkat validitas sangat tinggi, yaitu 91% dari ahli media dan 96% dari ahli materi, dengan rata-rata kevalidan sebesar 94%. Kepraktisan media tercatat sebesar 85% pada uji coba terbatas dan 86% pada uji lapangan. Efektivitas media tergolong sedang dengan nilai N-Gain 62% dan 66%. Media ini terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk mendukung pembelajaran serta meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Temuan ini didukung oleh data yang menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik khususnya pada indikator “Interpretasi” yang mengalami peningkatan setelah penggunaan media pembelajaran. The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematics learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) application on the material of flat-sided solid shapes to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is motivated by the low interest and achievement of students in mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 1 Madiun which is caused by the use of learning media that is still monotonous and less innovative, seen from the results of the mid-term and final exams that are below the Minimum Competency (KKM). The research method applied is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires to teachers and students, validation from experts, and supporting documents. The population in this study were all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Madiun with a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study show that the AR-based media developed using Unity 3D has a very high level of validity, namely 91% from media experts and 96% from material experts, with an average validity of 94%. The practicality of the media was recorded at 85% in the limited trial and 86% in the field test. The media's effectiveness was classified as moderate, with N-Gain values of 62% and 66%, respectively. This media was proven valid, practical, and effective in supporting learning and improving students' critical thinking skills. This finding is supported by data showing an increase in students' critical thinking skills, particularly in the "Interpretation" indicator, after using the learning media.
