Abstract
Mawar Rahmawati, 2025. Application of the RME Approach Assisted by Digital Augmented Reality Media to Improve Cognitive Abilities in Plane Shape Material in Fourth Grade Elementary School. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Hendra Erik Rudyanto, M.Pd. (II) Dr. Fida Rahmantika Hadi, S.Pd. This study aims to determine whether the application of the RME approach assisted by digital Augmented Reality media can improve cognitive abilities in plane shape material in fourth grade. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The number of subjects in this study was 22 students. This research phase included data collection, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, testing, and documentation methods. The results showed an increase in cognitive learning outcomes. Classical mastery in the pre-cycle was 30%. Classical mastery in the first cycle increased to 57%. While in the second cycle, it increased to 90%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the RME approach with the assistance of digital augmented reality media improves cognitive learning outcomes in the subject of plane figures in fourth-grade elementary school students.
