Abstract

This study aims to improve the multiplication calculation skills of second-grade students of SDN Sidorejo 1 through the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model assisted by Rope (Multiplication Table) media. The background of this study is the low student learning outcomes in multiplication material and the lack of variety of learning models and media used by teachers. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 13 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase. In the pre-cycle, only 5 students (40%) completed. In the first cycle, it increased to 7 students (55%), and in the second cycle it reached 11 students (85%). The average score also increased from 59.23 to 78.08. The application of the NHT model assisted by Rope (Multiplication Table) media effectively improved student learning outcomes and activeness in understanding the concept of multiplication in a more concrete and enjoyable way.
