Abstract
This research was motivated by the problem of low skills in writing Indonesian texts at SDN 6 Ngrayun, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency, students experiencing difficulty in coming up with story ideas to be expressed in narrative texts. Seeing this reality, the author intends to conduct research on learning to write narrative texts by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model and audiovisual media. This research aims to find out and describe the implementation of learning and improving writing activities using Problem Based Learning (PBL) and audiovisual learning models. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two stages, namely cycle I stage and cycle II stage. The results of this research show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and audiovisual media can improve the Indonesian language narrative text writing skills of class IV students at SDN 6 Ngrayun. This improvement can be seen from the results of the final test of cycle I and the final test of cycle II. The results of the final test in cycle I showed that the average score achieved by class IV students was 84.0 or 75% completion of the target of 80% completion, which was included in the good category, while in cycle II the average score achieved was 91.0 or 100%. completion of the target of 80% completion and is included in the very good category. the increase from cycle I to cycle II was 7 points or 7%. Then student activity also increases in a better or positive direction. Student activities that were not appropriate in cycle I were no longer visible and changed to activities that were appropriate in cycle II. Students are active in the learning process from beginning to reflection. Students are more enthusiastic, enthusiastic and serious when taking part in learning to write Indonesian narrative texts.
