Abstract

Mie Tjahaya Madiun is a culinary business that still manages employee attendance and payroll manually through WhatsApp. This process causes several problems, including difficulties in attendance data recapitulation, the risk of payroll calculation errors, and delays in report preparation. This study aims to develop a web-based Attendance and Payroll Information System using the Prototype method, design the system model using Unified Modeling Language (UML), and evaluate the system through Blackbox Testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The research method employed was the Prototype development model, consisting of communication, quick planning, prototype design, prototype construction, evaluation, and system implementation. The system was developed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, while the system design utilized Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams. The results indicate that the developed system meets the operational needs of Mie Tjahaya Madiun by providing features such as login, selfie and GPS-based attendance, leave requests, user management, automatic payroll calculation, and attendance and payroll reports. Blackbox Testing showed that all system functions operated as expected, while the SUS evaluation produced an average score of 74.0, which falls into the Acceptable category, receives a Grade Scale C, and is classified as Good based on the adjective rating. It can be concluded that the system has good usability and is suitable for supporting attendance and payroll management at Mie Tjahaya Madiun.
