Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Independent Commissioners, Board of Directors, and Audit Committee on Stock Return, with Profitability proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) as a mediating variable in IDX Sustainability during the 2021–2025 period. The research sample consisted of 70 companies with a total of 350 observations selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4 through outer model, inner model, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that only the Board of Directors has a significant negative effect on Profitability (ROA), while ESG, Independent Commissioners, Audit Committee, and Profitability (ROA) have no significant effect on Stock Return. In addition, Profitability (ROA) is unable to mediate the influence of ESG, Independent Commissioners, Board of Directors, and Audit Committee on Stock Return.
