Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of learning to write children's rhymes through the reflective learning method with visual story card media for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) student learning outcomes in learning to write children's rhymes through the reflective learning method with visual story card media for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study are (1) The application of the reflective learning method with visual story card media was carried out well, this is known from the observation scores of activities carried out by teachers and students from cycle I to cycle II which increased. For teacher activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 75 (moderate) and increased in cycle II to 90 (high) and student activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 70 (moderate) and increased in cycle II, namely 87.5 (high), and (2) learning outcomes in learning to write children's rhymes through the reflective learning method with visual story card media for class V students of SD Negeri 2 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency, increased after applying the reflective learning method with visual story card media, which was marked by the percentage of learning completion in each cycle. The percentage of student completion in cycle I was 50% (low) and increased significantly to 79.17% (very high) in cycle II. The average class value in cycle I was 71.67 (moderate) and increased to 76.25 (high) in cycle II.
