Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Advisor I) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Restu Lusiana, M.Pd.Keywords: reading, beginning, repeated practice method, and image mediaThis study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the repetitive practice method assisted by image media can improve reading comprehension learning of Class I students of Gerih 3 State Elementary School, Gerih District, Ngawi Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of Class I students of Gerih 3 State Elementary School, Gerih District, Ngawi Regency in learning to read using the repetitive practice method assisted by image media. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study, namely: (1) the application of the repetitive practice method assisted by image media can improve the beginning reading of Class I students of Gerih 3 State Elementary School, Gerih District, Ngawi Regency, there was an increase. This is evidenced by the value of teacher activity of 69.11% in the good category, increasing in cycle II to 91.17% in the very good category. The value of student activity in cycle I was 77.94% in the good category, increasing in cycle II to 95.58% in the verygood category and (2) the learning outcomes of first-grade students at Gerih 3 Elementary School, Gerih District, Ngawi Regency, using the repetitive practice method assisted by image media can improve students' initial reading skills or student learning completeness. This is evident from the analysis results of 3 students who have not achieved completeness individually, while the number of students who have completed is 20 people with a percentage of 86.95% both individually and as a class. Based on this analysis, students have achieved the established Minimum Competency (KKM).
